Dr. Bryce Chaffee is originally from Portville, a small rural town in western New York. After graduating from Portville Central H.S., he completed his pre-med undergraduate studies at State University of New York at Brockport. He then pursued his passion at National College of Chiropractic in Chicago where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1993. While there, he met his wife, Dr. Tami Chaffee. The Chaffees live in Burbank, OH and have four children, 3 girls and 1 boy: Ciera, Savannah, Luke, and London.
As a young child, Dr. Bryce became very ill and after having no results with medical treatments, his mother took him to a Chiropractor. His Chiropractor, Dr. Freer, adjusted him and offered nutritional counseling and a near miraculous recovery was made! Since then, Dr. Bryce has used Chiropractic care for all of his sports injuries and general health problems. He learned at a very young age that he wanted to help people with his hands, the same way the he was helped.
Dr. Bryce’s favorite part of being a Chiropractic physician is the opportunity to practice true Health Care: helping people to heal quickly and naturally. He especially likes working with kids and babies. He also enjoys discussing nutrition and exercise with all of his patients. He believes that normal organ function, which is controlled by the nervous system, along with good nutrition and exercise, can enable a person to be healthy at 100 years old!
Dr. Bryce is Board Certified in Acupuncture, which gives him the opportunity to treat many adults and pediatric conditions not helped by traditional medicine (i.e. headaches/migraines, ADD/ADHD, sciatica, etc.) Dr. Bryce’s hobbies include outdoor activities with his wife and children, short-term mission trips building churches, orphanages, and team ministry for the past 15 years which also gives him the opportunity to teach people about health and wellness as well as treat multitudes of suffering people with Chiropractic care!
Dr. Tami Chaffee grew up in Columbus, OH and graduated from Whitehall-Yearling High School. She started her undergraduate at Columbus State beginning the pre-med Bachelor of Science degree, continuing in the Logan Pre-Chiropractic Program in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Tami then followed her hometown Chiropractor, Dr. Grant Evans, to his alma mater, National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL and graduated in 1992 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Drs. Bryce and Tami met in school and married on July 17, 1993.
Dr. Tami’s father had many years of back pain while working for Delta as a baggage handler before finding relief with Chiropractic. Her whole family became patients during the time of her father’s treatment. She loved Chiropractic so much that she began working in the clinic during High School and then on and off through college. She recalls that after writing the word “CHIROPRACTOR” for the first time, she knew that was what she wanted to become. Dr. Tami’s favorite thing about being a Chiropractor is seeing people’s lives change through their body’s own healing process. “People literally ‘crawl’ in the door and are jumping for joy on the way out!” She feels it is truly wonderful to help patients who want to change from sick care to wellness care. She also is Board Certified in Acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Tami enjoys tending her flower gardens, helping Dr. Bryce on short-term mission trips, outdoor activities with her husband and children, and watching her kids grow in their sports programs.
Dr. Reis is from Akron Ohio. She obtained her undergraduate -Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina. She then attended National University of Health in Sciences in Illinois for her Chiropractic Doctorate. I was raised in an active, sports-minded family. I always knew that I wanted to help people attain health in a non-invasive, drug-free manner. Chiropractic was a clear decision. My favorite part of the body to adjust is the Cervical Spine. The whole body is positively affected from a cervical adjustment! I love trying food from different countries. Latin American and Indian dishes are some of my favorite. In my spare time I enjoy play soccer, reading, and I love going to country music concerts.
I will never forget my first adjustment! As a young child my cousin, who is a chiropractor, adjusted me for the first time and that was an experience that has since changed my life. I grew up in Canton, Ohio and during High School I was in a Health Tech Program that allowed me to explore many health care professions. Having been adjusted regularly for many years made me realize Chiropractic was clearly the path for me. What intrigued me the most was the alternative approach to helping healthy people stay healthy and people in pain get well.
I first graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Exercise Science then went onto Logan College of Chiropractic. At Logan I worked with several universities including the University of Missouri, Missouri Baptist University and Lindenwood University to provide chiropractic care to their athletes. Growing up I competed in basketball, baseball and football, so I have a passion for working with athletes. In addition, I love working with a wide range of patients from young children to the elderly.
It is truly amazing to see how the body can optimally function when it is provided with regular chiropractic adjustments. It is my goal to be able to provide the community with an alternative option to conservatively treat many conditions that impact your everyday lives.
